My Wife and I first discovered this hotel in 2004 when in its first reincarnation it exhibited qualities that we thought we'd never find - honest charm, imagination and a fabulous retreat from our life in Vancouver, In fact staying at this hotel over the subsequent years has led to our plans to move to Kamloops. Sadly, over the last 6 years we saw a decline the quality of our experience at the Plaza, and we eventually gave up on staying there again. I must say that I have just been recently surprised. I have seen the new incarnation just this past weekend (June 16, 2010) and after review anticipate booking at this hotel in the future. If you were also a former guest of the Plaza, I'd advise having a look again.

A Brewster Tour package brought us through the Rockies from Jasper. We are here with my wifes siblings 5 sisters, 2 brothers, and their spouses. The room was assigned by our tour package - unbeknown - that we celebrate our 48th year together. What a special suprise to enter a Bridal Suite. A real pleasure to be here!

The sounds of the city drift into our room. We look down on a world that we face together. From this day on. Thankyou.

Spring is upon us apparently. It was inspiring to a pair of lovers that came together after a long separation... Beautiful Room & Memories.

Well I find myself sitting here reflecting. Thinking about the sweet memories that The Plaza, and specifically the bridal suite means to my husband and myself. All I can say is "Oh what a journey".
It began on Dec 11/04 and brings us to Dec 11/09. Each year Dec 11 has great meaning and along the way The Plaza is there. We were engaged and married on Dec 11. We spent our first moments here in the bridal suite as man and wife. We returned here on our first wedding anniversary and magically concieved our son.
Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary. We find ourselves back in this magical place.
what I have learned in 3 years of marriage is that love comes easy but needs to be nurtured. Love is picking your battles, forgiving, laughing, dreaming, kissing often and never forgetting how lucky you are. I AM!! I'll never forget that my husband is my world. When her hurts I hurts, when he is happy, I am happy. Today, I am happy because I found him, and was lucky to be his wife.
I will return with him next Dec 11 to see where love has taken us. I look forward to many more exciting and loving years.

Honeymooning - Now off to Seattle & Cancun
This room was delightful and a romantic setting for our first nights together as husband and wife. Entering the hotel in our bridal garb(clothes) and being carried over the threshold to this room was most memorable. Drinking coffee on the comfy bed, the wonderful city views and historic setting was dreamy. Bath tub was wonderful for solo.

I got this room for free thanks to the lovely staff. Very Nice room, lots of space to enjoy the pizza I apparently ordered. Good times...

On a perfect fall day we held our wedding ceremony outdoors in a beautiful country setting. Reception followed in the 100 year old Kamloops Courthouse. To end out amazing day in another beautiful historical Kamloops landmark and awake to the city we love was perfect!
